The Prayer of Faith – Why We Should Believe in Our Redeemer
We often see movies and televisions shows where the character falls to their knee and pray, while the interviewer asks them how they were able to keep their belief. Often we are left thinking; “How could he do that when his mind was flooded with doubts and confusion?” There is no doubt in my mind that a person can be so confused and overwhelmed by the world around them, that they sometimes lose touch with the One who created them and their very existence. A person in this position must find a way back to reality in order to regain their bearings and begin to heal.
I want to share something with you here that will help you to get into the proper mindset to pray for your family. First, as Christians we must remember that the prayer of a true believer is always effective. A true believer prays each day just as we pray to our Creator. We know that He is our Master and that we should not walk in His footsteps but follow in the footsteps of Christ. Pray in the spirit of God, for He will lead you back to Him.
The second step is to make sure you are quieting your mind when you are praying. In fact, I encourage you to go to a room and close your door and turn it off. The more distractions there are in your mind the less likely you are going to be able to concentrate on your prayer.
One way to do this is to close your laptop or computer and just sit down. Close your eyes and try to stay concentrated on praying. In addition, do not just focus on a certain thing, such as praying for rain, healing, health, etc. Just try to stay in the moment and give God your whole attention.
Another step is to write down a few things you would like to say if something should happen to you or to someone that you love. It could be anything. Keep it short and to the point. Think about what kind of prayer you are going to say and if it involves someone make sure you remember to say your prayer for them.
When you have finished your prayer of faith, it is time for you to invite God into your life. Make sure that you are walking in the grace of the Lord. This will bring you closer to him. As a believer you should know that he is not only able to help you through sickness and death but also in time of need. He can help you through any problem you may encounter on your journey.
The third step is for you to know how to share God’s love. You need to learn how to share the good news with others. It may come to you as a surprise. Many people don’t share the news of the Lord with everyone they meet. So when times come that you want to share your blessings with another person try and make it known to them.
By following these steps you will be well on your way to walk with God. He will walk with you. Let him show you what a wonderful job you did in walking with him. Make sure that you always pray for his blessing. And most importantly walk with God!
The person who created the Bible said that we should walk in the fear of God. This means that we should walk in the faith of our Master. I know people who never walk in the fear of their Lord. These people are not walking in the faith of their Master.
Jesus Christ said to the father of the bride that we should walk in the fear of God. What does this mean? It means that we should walk in the faith of our Saviour Jesus Christ. If we do so we won’t be put to death by the hands of the devil.
So we should walk in the confidence of our Saviour, in the confidence that he will guide us. This means that we shouldn’t go into any financial problems. We shouldn’t even worry about any family problems. We should believe in the promises of our Redeemer. These are the basics of the prayer of faith.
