Airport Instructions:

  • Please arrive at the International Terminal at 7:00AM (Leaders 6:45am)

  • Please say goodbye to your parents\whoever is dropping you off before coming inside! We already will be traveling in a large group & want to minimize our crowd at the airport

  • Your small group leader will have your passport ready when you arrive.

  • You will need to eat something at the airport - it will be awhile before we arrive at the hotel after we land!

  • Note: you are responsible for getting yourself to the airport on the 10th & getting picked up when we get back on the 17th!

  • Make sure that BEFORE March 10th that you have texted your small group leaders\staff airport leaders your phone number (Text them your first & last name)

Luggage Instructions:

  • Each person is permitted

    • 1 checked bag (under 50 pounds)

    • 1 carry on (a backpack or duffle bag)

    • 1 personal item (pillow or small purse)

  • Carry on Items:

    • DO NOT include any liquids, gels greater than 3.4 ounces, knives, nail clippers, scissors, anything sharp, etc.

    • Please check DELTA airlines for further regulations\rules

  • Weigh your luggage the night before please!!

PACKING LIST

For Base:

  • 2 rolls of toilet tissue

  • 1 plastic bottle of jelly (strawberry or grape - whichever you like more)

  • 1 plastic jar of peanut butter

Clothing:

  • Nice clothes for church/schools (will wear 2-3 times)

  • Girls: knee-length skirts/dresses, no spaghetti straps or sleeveless tops

  • Guys: khaki pants, polo shirt, or golf shirt (no shorts or jeans)

  • Nice sandals or closed toe shoes (no plastic flip-flops, Chacos, etc.)

  • Work Clothes (3 or 4 sets)

  • Old t-shirts (your clothes will get really messy)

  • Mid-thigh shorts, no spaghetti straps or sleeveless tops at the work sites

  • Old tennis shoes for construction work

  • Base Clothes to wear at night (5 or 6)

  • Nike shorts, casual shorts and tanks are permitted on the base (still no spaghetti straps)

  • Chacos and flip flops to wear in the shower

  • Swimming suit

  • Girls: one piece (no tankinis or low-cut one pieces) Guys: Trunks

  • Bathing suit cover-up

  • Ocho Rios - clothes for sight-seeing\beach and shoes to climb the water fall (Chacos or water shoes)

  • Clean clothes for the trip home

  • Pajamas

  • Long sleeve t-shirt or hoodie for night time

  • Light jacket/ light rain coat

  • Socks (6-7 pairs)

  • Unmentionables (Make sure you pack enough!)

Other Things:

  • Paint Brush & Paint Roller (both actual metal piece and 3 pack of rollers) - one of each

  • Soap/shampoo/other toiletries

  • Book bag (carry-on) for worksites

  • Pillow/pillowcase

  • Bath towel & washcloth

  • Beach towel

  • Bible & journal & pens

  • Cameras

  • Sunglasses/hat/bandana

  • Sunscreen

  • Water bottle

  • Watch

  • Cash for 2 lunches, snacks, souvenirs, etc and 1 dinner ($60 should cover this)

  • ** One pair of sturdy work gloves

  • Pens\Pencils, composition books & ruled paper packets

  • Things for your Warm & Fuzzy

Optional:

  • Blanket

  • Flashlight

  • Bug Spray

  • Any snacks you want

  • Cards, games, spikeball, frisbee etc.

  • Hand Sanitizer

  • Small trash bag for wet clothes

  • Crystal Light Packets

  • Earplugs

  • Money for additional food in the airport

  • Any medications that you regularly need or might need

Do NOT Bring:

  • Hairdryers, straighteners, electric razors, etc.

  • Laptops, tablets, other electronics

  • In Carry-On: Any liquids\gels greater than 3.4 ounces, knives, nail clippers\files, scissors, etc.

Each person is permitted 1 checked bag (which MUST weigh no more than 50 pounds), 1 carry-on (backpack), and 1 personal item (purse, pillow, etc.).
