11 Beloved, if God so loved us [in this incredible way], we also ought to love one another. 12 No one has seen God at any time. But if we love one another [with unselfish concern], God abides in us, and His love [the love that is His essence abides in us and] is completed and perfected in us.
- 1 John 4:11-12 (AMP)

This is pretty backwards if you think about it. God's love is perfected and completed in us, as we give away love to the people around us. We should always live from a place of having received God's love first, but the way that God perfects and completes his love in us in by the way we love the people around us.

The way that you give love is unique and individual and can't be given by anyone else. Giving the love that you have is important to God and God says that it matters. Think about the last time you intentionally loved someone in front of you. Afterward did you feel more yourself, more significant, more powerful, and more aware of God's love for you? That is because God perfects and completes His Love in us in the way we love those around us.

Start to take notice how giving love makes room for you to receive and have new revelation of God's love for you. Ask God to increase your willingness in choosing to give and receive that love!

God, thank you for the way you made each person with a unique kind of love to give away. We want to love like you and look like you and have your love completed and perfected in us. Show us how we are more fully ourselves when we give ourselves to love.
