For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
— Psalm 139:13-14 NIV

Being known is a really good feeling. It's a good feeling when we walk into a crowded room and people recognize us, or we see familiar faces and have someone to talk to. As human beings, we crave feeling known and having familiar things around us. In Psalm 139, David spends 24 verses going into the depths of how much he is known by God. There is no one on earth that can know us better than God--He knows us better than we know ourselves. And the reason being is that He created and formed us (vs 13).

Created for a purpose

Being known by the creator of the universe is a big deal. God chose to create YOU. You specifically. He knew everything about you before your mom even gave birth to you. He knew at exactly what second you would take your first breath and when your last will be. He designed you and your life and all the details in between. How incredible is that?? We crave to be known by people around us, when in reality we are more known by God than we could ever imagine.

Now, we get to live out of the fullness of knowing we were created for a kingdom purpose (because why else would God have created you??)!! Try and find the little things that remind you of how known you are by God and when you are reminded, thank God for choosing you and loving you so well.

God, thank You for creating me and choosing to have a relationship with me. Would You continue to remind me how much You love and and to show me Your love for me in new ways. I love being known by You. Thank You. Amen.
