Sign up info: To sign up go to www.ugawesley.org, click on the link at the top that says “Sign Ups” and then select “Mission Trips” and follow the instructions. Your spot is not secured util you turn in your $125 non refundable deposit.

You can pay that deposit 2 ways:

• By Check: The check needs to be made out to the UGA Wesley Foundation with your name and "Jamaica" on the memo line. You can bring it to Freshley on Monday night, or to Wesley during office hours

• Online: You can pay online through PayPal - go to ugawesley.org, click the give tab, then click missions. Before you donate, be sure to write in your name under “Student Name.”

     *Please note that PayPal charges a service fee of 2.2% for debit cards or bank accounts and 2.7% for credit cards.*

Location: We'll be taking teams to Montego Bay, Port Maria, Mandeville, and St. Anns Bay. The Montego Bay and Mandeville groups will stay at a Youth With a Mission base, the Port Maria group will stay at a local hotel called the Casa Maria, and the St. Anns group will stay at a local hotel called Seacrest Beach Hotel. Each location is in a safe area of town and is very secure. There will be 5-6 staff members leading each trip.

Teams: While we are taking trips to multiple sites in Jamaica, small groups/small group leaders will always be placedtogether on the same site.

Dates: March 10th-17th , 2018

Cost: $1750. Please be aware that we will train students on how to raise support. The student (or student’s parents) are not simply expected to write a check for the trip. A $125 deposit is due at time of sign up - $100 of this goes towards your tripcost, $25 goes towards an administrative fee that is in addition to the cost of your trip. NO CASH WILL BE ACCEPTED. We will have a support raising meeting after freshley on October 23rd.

Deadlines: The deadline to sign up and pay your deposit is Wednesday, October 18th. The following is a schedule of all deadlines for the trip: October 18th - $125 deposit due // November 6th - $250 due // December 4th - $350 due //January 8th - $800 due // February 19th - $1750 due

Travel: We will fly into Montego Bay or Kingston, and then be transported to the different locations. Frequent Flier miles/buddy passes cannot be used.

Meetings/conference: There will be a mandatory conference for everyone going to Jamaica on January 19th and 20th.Aside from the conference, the teams will meet 3 more times on a Sunday evening before the trip. You’ll know what thesedates are once the teams are set.

Activities/Sample Schedule: We will be doing a wide variety of activities on the trip. We seek to serve the people of Jamaica in a variety of ways, including manual labor as well as personal ministry. There will be projects such as building houses, painting churches, laying cement, and many others. We'll also visit nursing homes, orphanages, infirmaries, etc to minister to those in need. Other activities include visiting a local Jamaica church, team time at night, fun day at Dunn's river falls, and lots more. You'll be given a specific itinerary as we get closer to the trip.

Saturday: Travel and Group Time

Sunday: Worship at a local church and prep for the week

Monday-Wednesday: VBS, Worksites, Group Time

Thursday: Local outreach/Intercession

Friday: Fun day in Ocho Rios (all groups combined)

Passports: You need one and will turn it in at one of our team meeting. We will store them in our Wesley safe and bring them to the airport for you.
