Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed fervently that it might not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain on the earth. Then he prayed again, and heaven gave rain, and the earth bore its fruit.

James 5:16-18 ESV

This passage reminds us that we should be quick to forgive and confess our sins to one another. Having our brothers and sisters in Christ pray over us as we confess ourselves, helps us humble ourselves to one another and especially to God. We are all sinners, but we should hold ourselves accountable to live a life that is pleasing to God. We have been given the grace and the power to pray fervently for the things we need and want. Our prayers are heard by the Father, and we should pray seeking him and nothing else.

Open communication with the father

Having people in our lives that hold us accountable to our actions and our sins is a privilege that we receive through relationship with Jesus. We have the opportunity to fight and care for the people we get to live our lives with in Him. Prayer is one of the most beautiful gifts we could have ever received because it gives us constant, unfailing, and uninterrupted communication with the Father. We are heard and we are known by the God of the universe, and he wants to give us the desires of our hearts. It is easy to pray for something once, but we get discouraged when it does not happen in our perceived timeline. When we choose to align our hearts with God's and pray fervently after the things he has laid specifically on our hearts, we are living examples of his faithfulness.

We have been given free and open communication with God, and we should take advantage of that every day. He knows the things on our hearts, even if we do not want to say them out loud. Praying consistently to him to see heart, life, earthly, and kingdom change is part of the beautiful connection we have with Him. Pray with your people and fight for the things you believe in most.

You have given me a life that I choose to give back to you. Would you align my heart with yours, so that I may fight for the things that are on your heart. Help me remain in you and find comfort in you. Help me to forgive those who have hurt me, but help me confess my sins to those who I have hurt.
You are for me.
You are with me.
I am loved.
I am not forgotten.
You hear me.
You know me.
Thank you for loving me with unwavering faith in who I am.
I love you.
